The Local Water System Committee

The LWS Committee shall have the powers and duties necessary to run the day by day affairs of the LWS. In particular, they shall have the following duties:

1. To take part in the General Assembly on behalf of all the members of the LWS.

2. To implement the decisions taken by the General Assembly and by the Management Committee.

3. To work together with the central office of the KKWP on keeping updated list of members of the LWS.

4. To take any decision to prevent/solve any comnflict arising from the members of the LWS, in particular those concerning the location of KKWP infrastructures, either sited or passing through private plots.

5. To select those full members of the LWS who shall work as kiosk operators yearly.

6. To convene LWS Assembly meetings and to notify the members of the LWS on their agenda, date and venue.

7. Establishment of the layout of the Local Water System (Location of tank and kiosks), in respect of technical and financial constraints. These decisions shall have to be approved by the Management Committee, under advice of the central office of the KKWP, and ratified by the LWS Assembly.

8. To support the spreading of information concerning the KKWP and the LWS activities to as many as possible.

9. To gather information on any breakage, burst and leakage of the main and local infrastructure of the water supply scheme and to report them to either the Coordinator or the Technical Foreman of the KKWP.

10. To verify that the operation and maintanance activities shall be properly carried out by the technical staff of the KKWP.

11. To promote, in agreement with the Management Committee, the participation of the LWS members to voluntary works conducive to the realisation, development and improvement of the main line and its Local Water System, keeping records of members turn up.

12. Any other duty as set out in the Constitution or in the By-laws of the KKWP.
